This is my second attempt at woodworking, I built out entertainment center also, I will show it later. I am most proud of this kitchen cabinet I built for LeeAnn for Christmas. We wanted an old look, I used knotted white pine for every thing but the doors and used yellow pine for the doors, its a harder wood and is easier to get square. I never thought I would be able to pull this off and it turn out so good. I learned some things and will apply them to the next cabinet I build. Why you ask, why build it instead of buying one? (1) I had a specific idea in my head and wanted exactly want I wanted. (2) My wife and I are much more fond of this cabinet than one would could have bought that wasn't what we wanted. (3) I am cheap.......lol......I have about $120 dollars in this cabinet and a couple fun days with my Dad building it. And the excitement of my wife when we brought it in the house on Christmas day.
Ok I know I am supposed to be blogging about politics and stuff but I saw a friends desk on her blog and it turned out really good, so I thought I would post the cabinet I made for my wife.

I love reading your daily FB ...esp. because you have values that surpass most of the kids that you went to school with. You and your precious wife both seem 'very special'...your love for them shines thru constantly. May God continue to bless you, Chance...your life, your hobby, your heart...most of all, your little family. It's an honor to me to have God to allow our pathways to cross.
